What the key tasks will look like

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our Transformation team. You will join a 20-people team consisting of transformation leads, business analysts, change/lean leads, a BPM expert, a strategy manager and a transformation analyst. Your personal focus will be managing one project manager in your role as people and delivery manager, and managing program(s) across our technology transformation journey, with a focus on the simplification of our IT landscape (AS400 carve-out)

People management of transformation lead

  • Lead and Develop: you inspire and motivate the project teams and align them with strategic objectives and plan for success
  • Knowledge sharing: you facilitate and build knowledge within and across teams
  • Personal development: you facilitate and guide team members to grow and improve along their careers

Overarching program management in the realization of our technology roadmap and implementation of new technologies

  • Interdependencies and prerequisites: you manage dependencies between projects and identifying prerequisites for successful project/program delivery
  • Identify and Mitigate: you recognize and address risks, issues, and roadblocks
  • Planning: you take care of the financial, resource and delivery planning for program, aligned with corporate strategy
  • Governance: you implement program structure, governance and compliance
  • Communication: you communicate with and manage stakeholders both internal and with group (ERGO, Munich Re, ExCom and Board)

Required skills and competencies

  • Education and Experience: you have a Master’s degree in business, management, IT, or a related field, with 10 + years in program/project management and a proven track record in managing (project) teams (preferably in an insurance context).
  • Communication and Languages: You are a fluent communicator in Dutch, French, as in English, and possess excellent presentation and interpersonal skills at all levels (from operations to C-level) and in an international context
  • Leadership: You show strong leadership and people management abilities in knowing how to inspire, coach, and develop your team members
  • Organizational Skills and Deadline Handling: You possess excellent organizational skills and superb stakeholder management skills towards all levels in and outside of the organization, with the ability to manage and balance multiple priorities.
  • Structure and result-driven : you possess a structured way-of-working by keeping an oversight of the program and its individual projects, keeping track at all different stages and follow-up;
  • Result-driven: you possess a result-oriented mindset in for example translating strategic objectives into clear deliverables, establishing priorities, and monitoring progress against agreed targets
  • Methodologies and Management: you have good knowledge of budgeting, benefit tracking, resource management, risk management, and great problem-solving skills.
